We publish our prices. There is no “call for a quote” and there are no charges that appear after you have committed.

This page sets out every fee we charge, how to pay, what happens if you need a payment plan, and exactly what you are entitled to if you withdraw or if we are unable to deliver.

Nationally recognised training delivered by a registered training organisation is GST-free. [CONFIRM WITH ACCOUNTANT BEFORE PUBLISHING — see notes.]

All courses are offered on a fee for service basis. This means you or your employer pay the published fee directly.

What your course fee covers

  • All training and assessment for the units you are enrolled in.
  • Your student assessment pack, learner materials and self-study resources.
  • Your free pre-training review and LLND assessment.
  • Two assessment attempts for each unit.
  • Support from your trainer and assessor during and after your session.
  • Issue of your qualification or Statement of Attainment.

Additional charges

These only apply in the circumstances described. Most students never pay any of them.

Charge Amount When it applies
Reassessment $150 per unit Only after the two attempts included in your course fee have been used
Recognition of Prior Learning From $150 per unit If you apply for RPL instead of completing the training
Replacement certificate or Statement of Attainment $50 If you need a re-issue of certification already provided to you

RPL is charged from a minimum of $150 per unit. Where validating your prior learning requires significant additional work, any further charge will be agreed with you in writing before it is incurred. Nothing is ever charged that you have not agreed to first.

The replacement certification fee may be waived at the discretion of the CEO. If it is charged, it must be paid before the document is re-issued.

How to pay

Payment can be made by EFT, credit card, cheque or cash.

Enrolments are not processed until fees are paid, a payment plan has been agreed in writing, or you have written confirmation that you are exempt from payment. Once your enrolment fee is paid you are enrolled in our student management system and a receipt is issued to you.

Employer-paid enrolments

If your employer is paying, let us know at enquiry stage. We will issue an invoice showing the course, the student name and the enrolment and tuition fees in detail.

Payment plans

Payment plans are available. Complete the payment plan form and submit it to our Student Support Officer. The CEO makes the final decision and you will be notified of the outcome.

We will never require more than $1,500 from you before your course starts. At no point during your training will you have paid more than $1,500 for training you have not yet received. This protects your money if anything happens to us.

Payment plans must be arranged within two weeks of being notified that you have been accepted into your course. The amount and frequency of payments depends on the course fee and length, and will reflect the value of training delivered in each period.

Financial hardship

If you are experiencing financial hardship, contact us to discuss your options before you decide against training. We will make every effort to propose a payment plan that reflects your circumstances.

These discussions remain strictly confidential.

Cooling off period

Under Australian Consumer Law you have five business days from the date of enrolment to change your mind and withdraw.

If you withdraw during this period you must return all Pluto learning and assessment materials to us. Enrolment and administration fees are not refundable.

Refunds

Situation Refund
We do not deliver the course you have paid for; the course does not start on the agreed commencement date; the course ceases to be provided before it is completed; or the course cannot be provided in full because a sanction has been imposed on us Full refund
You withdraw more than five weeks before the course commences Full refund
You withdraw within five days of the course commencing Refund less the administration fee
You withdraw more than five days after the course has commenced No refund

Notes

  • The refunds above apply to tuition fees.
  • For materials fees, only the portion we have not already spent is refundable. If the cost has already been incurred, it cannot be returned.
  • Refunds in special circumstances — such as illness or family circumstances — may be agreed on an individual basis at our discretion. Talk to us.
  • All dates are calculated from the date we receive your form, not the date you completed it.
  • Refunds are paid directly to the student.
  • You have the right to a refund if your training arrangement is terminated early or if we fail to provide the services agreed.

How to apply for a refund

  1. Request a refund application form from us, or download it below.
  2. Complete it and submit it in writing.
  3. You will receive a written decision within 20 working days of us receiving your application.

If you disagree with a refund decision, you can appeal it. See Complaints and Appeals.

RPL, credit and partial completion

If you receive Credit Transfer for units you have already completed elsewhere, there is no charge and no reassessment.

If you apply for RPL and are not able to achieve the full qualification through recognition alone, we will agree a training plan and a costing structure with you. Gap training is charged pro rata, unit by unit, based on the scheduled course fee.

Because we deliver unit by unit, you can exit at any point with full credit for every unit you have completed. You can request a Statement of Attainment for those units at any time. Nothing you have paid for is wasted.

See RPL and Credit Transfer for how recognition works.

Our guarantee to you

We guarantee to deliver the training, assessment and support services for each course you are enrolled in and have paid the appropriate fee for.

If unforeseen circumstances prevent us from honouring that commitment, we will take all necessary steps to ensure your training is completed in accordance with our obligations to you.

If we cease delivery of any training or assessment, you will receive a refund for the portion not delivered, or we will arrange for you to transfer to another registered training organisation.

If we cease operating

If Pluto is unable to continue operating, we would transfer your enrolment to another RTO with the least possible disruption, issue you a refund for services not provided, and issue certification for units you have already completed.

What fees do not buy

Paying a course fee does not guarantee that you will be assessed as competent, that you will complete the training product, or that you will obtain a particular job or employment outcome. Competency has to be demonstrated.

What your fee guarantees is that we will deliver the training, assessment and support you have paid for, and give you a fair opportunity to demonstrate what you can do.
